KITS

When I build my kit ( plate carrier rig) I build it usually for the job at hand. 8 ar mags, 5 to 8 pistol mags, chem lights etc. How do you guys set up your KITS.

By the way what are your pros and cons on bungee cords or flap for the mag holders?

What job at hand does a retired person have that needs a plate carrier rig?

My kid consists of one pistol with two magazines, a quart water bottle and a ham sandwich.

There's a very well written fictional story about a group of rangers applicants on their last test of survival.
Each one could choose whatever equipment they wanted to try to get through the jungle (and all the dangers) to the rondevous.
The only one who made it without needing rescue took a canteen, a rope and a large knife.
While the others loaded themselves down with all kinds of paraphernalia, the survivor knew his most important tool was his brain.
