Potential relocation to Tennessee

My wife are potentially looking at moving to Tennessee late summer early fall next year. My questions are about concealed carry and gun ownership there. I am in Wisconsin now and have a concealed carry license. It appears there is reciprocity between Wisconsin and Tennessee regarding concealed carry. Does that mean my license would still be good? Do I just need to get it transferred? Or do I start from scratch in the application process?

Any other gun laws I need to know about? Restrictions on magazine size? Particular weapons banned other than Full Auto?

Thanks!

You have six months to get a Tennessee permit.
TN has a training requirement and a two-tiered permit system. Apparently your WI permit is convertible if the requirements are comparable. I am uncertain whether the usual TN training is required, best ask when you get there.

There is a considerable catalog of no-go places.

There is no magazine capacity restriction or other limitation on the gun itself.

Jim Watson,

Thanks for the info.

Just an FYI the site you listed apparently is infected with a virus because my anti-virus will not even allow me to open it.

The www.handgunlaw.us web site is a respected and reliable resource that has been around for years. The admin, Gary Slider, routinely posts on this site to inform us of when he makes updates.

My browser often balks at opening sites that are even remotely questionable, and I don't get any warnings when I open Jim's link. Either there's something wrong with your virus detection, or your ISP doesn't like pro-gun sites.

Okay, it opens fine with your link. My comp will not even give me the option of opening the version Jim Watson listed.
