Anybody have a favorite general 12 gauge trap load, I just got back into trap shooting after about 10 years away. The commercial loads all seem to be 1 and 1/8 once Sporting Clays type. If I remember back I used to load 1 once of #8 or #9 with Red Dot powder.

Let me know what you think.

I use Red Dot and a one ounce load. See the Alliant manual for the recipe.

i use clays and either a one ounce load or a fast 7/8 oz load. i've gone to using #8 shot for all my 12 ga stuff be it skeet,trap, or sporting clays....Dick
