I've been told that any post 1957 S&W .38 Special revolver will handle .38+P ammunition.
This means any Model 10 marked as such, starting with Model designation 10-0, should handle the pressures produced by firing .38 Special +P ammunition. I have fired Winchester .38 Special +P 158 gr lead SWC in several of my 10-5 Model 10 revolvers with no signs of excessive pressure.
