mossberg .22 702 scope
The step daughter is progressing pretty well after shooting 1200 or so rounds with her plinkster. I have been thinking about putting a scope on it as she seems to understand the basics of rifle shooting. It is her first gun, and an inexpensive one. Not something I would buy for myself, but she likes it, it is a fun plinker. I'm sure a $20 airgun scope would work, but I'd like to get her something a bit better. My scope knowledge is extremely limited.
Anyone have this gun with a scope? What size and magnification would work well shooting to 100 yards or so? She is certainly going to want better rifles down the road. Want her to learn to shoot scoped and how to adjust and zero one. Not looking for a super cheapo. Something that could be used on a better gun down the road makes sense as an investment. I'm thinking in the $100 range. Any thoughts or experience are welcome. If its $200 that's fine also.

I really like the Nikon Prostaff Rimfire. It's a variable power scope (it adjusts from 3X magnification to 9X magnification) that works really well out to 100 yards. It runs around $120 on Amazon.
Nikon Prostaff Rimfire 3-9X40 This could easily be upgraded to a nicer gun down the line. |

Thanks Constant and Mauser. I will check out the scopes you have mentioned. I'm sure all are nice, just gotta find the one that works for her. Guess I need to study up on scopes. Thanks again.
