I have one and it's a workhoarse 1911. All in all it's a great gun. Good trigger, grips, sights, and low recoil even for a full size 1911. I had to send mine back because the first one they sent me had the nitron finish 'chipping off' for lack of a better term. But, their customer service was great; they sent me a brand new gun and it's been great since.
IMO, it's a great 1911 for the money. I think it's on par with guns in the $1500 range. |

As far as I know Sig does not make their own 1911s yes/no...? If that is true who makes the frames for them?

SIG does make their 1911's in house. Just about every part is manufactured by them. They are fantastic guns and have come a long way from their rocky start.
