Safety comes on when shooting A-5 Browning
I have a Browning A-5 shotgun I purchased for my son to shoot trap with for his high school team. When h fires the gun the safety applies itself after the first shot. This gun has a forward and back safety ahead of the trigger guard.I have the sealing rings installed correctly , is there anything that would cause this to happen? Please help

Twister: That A-5 has been around for awhile. Check the safety spring and detents.

Another piece to the puzzle?
Manualy the safety is firm and moved with considerable force. I will check into the spring and detents . After shooting this for a whyle we have determined when the shotgun shot with 1 1/8 oz. shot loads the safety moves on its own , when shooting 1 oz. loads it wont malfunction. Is the spring on the barrel weak? could this be cause. Too much recoil?

Twister: A weak spring is a possiblity, but have you tried different friction ring settings? I would try that before I replaced the spring. Without having the gun in hand, I would point to the safety spring/detents first.
