My first rifle and a question

This weekend I bought a Marlin Mdl 81 bolt action (22 LR). It's great and will be a good tool in learning how to be a better shot.

However, I am having trouble removing the bolt for thorough cleaning. If I understand correctly, you're supposed to open the chamber, make sure it's empty, pull back on the trigger and slide the bolt out. However, the bolt won't slide out. Is there a trick to it, or do I need to see a gunsmith?

Arigato gozaimas,

If the manual says pull the trigger and pull the bolt out the back of the receiver . . . try to wiggle the bolt both vert. and horiz. while pulling it rearward.
