Service on S&W 66-2

I have a 20+ year old S&W 66-2 that was my dad's when he was a LEO. It's a great gun, and I LOVE shooting it...

Aside from cleaning and oiling when I'm done at the range, is there anything I should have done or examined on this firearm? It's very accurate, but I want to be sure it's also mechanically sound...

It seems to me there is a little play in the cylinder when I remove spent cartridges, but other than that, it feels great.

Thanks.

That thing is not only junk, it's dangerous junk--send it to me immediately and I will dispose of it for you. Due to my concern for your safety, I'll even pay for shipping

Seriously, though...
perform the "revolver checkout" found right here on THR:

There are some very sharp revolver people on this forum, and lots to learn.
