Reminton 7400 barrel nut
My Rem 7400 (.30-06) uses a simple 3/4" hex nut to hold the barrel to the receiver. Another 7400 (.280 Rem) I've seen has a 'ring' nut with several holes in it (for use in removal/tightening the barrel). What tool is needed for removing/installing this ring nut? Some kind of spanner wrench?? Where can it be obtained? Or, how do you remove it so the barrel can be taken out?

Barrel Nut Wrench
You need a Menck wrench, sold by Brownells or Midway. Costs about $30. Don't fool around with anything less!
