Old gun, new grips!

Needed new grips for my 1949 Detective Special, and since I stocked up on Alaskan Moose antler last year I spent a pleasant evening dressing the old girl up. Came out nice.

Was the hammer shroud in place when you got the gun, or did you add it later? And, if so, where did you find such a treasure?

It was in place on the gun when I bought it. A buddy did find a shroud on Gunbroker last year.
