Bought a Spectre

I bought a 22lr can a while ago and like it alot. Its an all aluminum Warlock. Sounds good and doesnt affect balance at all

But, its 22lr ONLY. Ive gotten into some of the other rimfires (17hmr and 22mag, might get a 17 WSM soon). Damn Praire dogs are addicting.

So i just form 4'd a Spectre to handle the more powerfull rimfires. I thought long snd hard about a Sparrow, but as a varmint hunting gun...most shots are "first shots" so the FRP of the Sparrow was what sent me to the Spectre

Awesome can. Yeah, it has virtually zero FRP and it's quieter than a Sparrow on a pistol and about the same on a rifle. It's also crazy strong.

At the shop I used to work at I heard a story about a guy who worked there before I did who put one round of .223 through his Spectre with no damage. I'm not 100% sure that's true, but I wouldn't be too surprised if it was; it's a beefy .22 can for sure.

Ha, if you want to risk destroying your Spectre in the name of science and you decide to test that out, let me know the results!

LOL Theo.....im going to pass on that test.

Im sure it will be an awesome can on my 17hmr and in the future a 22mag

Now the stupid wait time for a stamp on a form 4 begins. Ive got a Gemtech 300blk can already in the system...maybe the ATF will batch em together and i'll get it before next year.

I have the Spectre and it is an awesome can. I got it to shoot the critters that come into my yard and wreak havoc. I havent tried it with my 17 HMR, only 22lr. Interesting to hear the feedback using the 17.

I have the Spectre II as well. Could't be happier with it. Although I only use it on 22LR currently, I wanted the option of using it on a higher power caliber down the road and I also use the dip to clean it.

"Interesting to hear the feedback using the 17."

From my perspective, report is similar to unmuffled 22LR SV from 18" rifle-not objectionable but not quiet either.
