Pietta 1858 Remington Stainless Target
Is it common or rare for a Pietta 1858 Remington Stainless Target to have finely checkered walnut grips? How much should one expect to pay for this version of the Pietta Rem. 1858?
Would the Uberti brand command more for the same model? |

I haven't seen them on the stainless target. I have a pair of the ones Cabela's sells with the color cased frames and checkered walnut grips so Pietta does make them. They are exceptionally nice grips with a slight swell that makes them more comfortable than the standard grips, at least to my hands.

Stainless Steel Checkered Grips
http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/Vie...Item=182257249
There's one at the link above. I sure would like to buy some checkered grips, I'm sure others have wanted to also. I find checkered grips give me confidence shooting offhand unsupported for sure. |

Cajun, sure wish you had not posted that. Now hundreds of people have been alerted to that auction. That last bid was mine, I was hoping to get it on the cheap.
