Is there any kind of registration requirement to participate once the thing starts?

We're expected to email questions to the author. These are the three I hope to see posed:

Tom - I have submitted two of your three questions so far, but none have been posted in the discussion.

Up at the top, there's a "comment" button. You can just type in a name, type (or paste) a question and hit submit. No registration required. I'm logged in as Spats.

Same here, Tom. The doohickey says they're "in moderation." (So they're not doing tequila shots? )

Same here, the moderator must be giving "equal time" to both sides or something like that.

Kline's not willing to be swayed. Consider this observation:

He's not responding to anything from me, and a bunch of my stuff is stuck in moderation. |

Yeah, I'm done with this. That, and it's lunchtime. This guy isn't pro gun in any way. And the moderator is terrible.

Despite my best efforts, no questions I posted to the moderator were asked of the Senator... Not one... Every question was on topic and to the point... Typical of the Anti-media...
Much thanks to TFL for helping support our rights!

I haven't gotten any posted, but I'm still trying. Now, on to my gun buyback arguments!

My only goal is to get the senator to explain to me how a pistol grip makes a weapon more deadly. After he said this: "...(2) ban semi-automatics with specific characteristics like pistol-grips, that turn them into much more lethal weapons..." I just have to know now.

I was lucky enough to get a couple in, and I tried the pistol grip thing a number of times only to be suck in moderation a couple times..
Even got the first question in about how he justified spending tax dollars on the prevention of 4 murders... And got a sidestep over drive by knifings. |

I asked him the three questions I quoted above. No answers. I asked why a pistol grip would make a gun "more lethal," to quote the Senator. No answer. I then offered to rub his shiny cranium with cocoa butter, to which I received no answer.
Just kidding on that last one. His responses are educational. NRA? Tool of the gun lobby. Hi-capacity magazines? Ban 'em because smaller ones will slow rampage shooters down. "Assault" weapons? Constitutional to ban on the grounds of social utility. And, of course, the old standby of "if it only saves one life." He's been given his talking points, and he's sticking to them.

Congratulations Jim!
At least you got in a few questions.... Not one thing I asked made it... I must have rattled off ten things of my own and all three of Toms questions that I lead with.. Oh well... It was a earnest try...

Its somewhat entertaining a Washington State Senator, not even one of our Federal girls, just got bombarded at least a little by a buncha folks from a 2A website that are not only not from his district, but not from his state.

I live in the Redmond, WA area (well, Sammamish) which is less than 30 minutes from Seattle. So this discussion was relevant to me.
