Gun Tricks
Can anyone remember Clayton Moore performing, for want of a better word gun "gymnastics" with a pair of SAA's, also Sammy Davis Jr?

If you're referring to the maneuver know popularly as the "Border Shift", where an empty sixgun in the shooting hand is replaced with a full-loaded one from the non-shooting hand via tossing both guns into the opposite hands at the same time, the answer is "yes" - I do believe I remember da Lone Stranger character doing that a time or two over the years.
I don't know if it was Clayton Moore, or a stuntman that subbed for him, that actually performed it, though. . |

Sammy Davis was very skilled when it came to fancy gun handling.I believe the great, late Joe Bowman taught him.

This has nothing to do with "gun tricks" but it is a cut Sammy Davis Jr. story. A business executive that was from my hometown had quite a sense of humor. He was in Las Vegas one time on a business trip and was in one of the casinos and when he got on the elevator, Sammy Davis Jr. was on it. He was dressed to the nine yards as always, diamond rings and all. He nodded to the executive and all was silent for several moments as the elevator climbed. Finally the executive from my hometown looked over at Sammy and said, "I'll bet you don't know who I am, do you?" Sammy looked at him for a moment and then burst out laughing. The two of them had a nice visit until the elevator stopped and Sammy got off. The executive was a "nobody" but he enjoyed telling that and laughing about it up until the time he died. I've heard that Sammy Davis was well skilled with a revolver but besides that, I've always heard that he was just a great guy.
