super shadow 7mm WSM

I bought one of these a while back and cannot find what the rate of twist is on the barrel. Any body know? Want to reload for it but would be nice to know for the bullet weights.

Do you plan on reloading for this gun?

yup, gonna reload for it. I just found out its 1:9.5 twist, so I'll go with the heavier bullets to start with

Game and range should determine your bullet selection.

Large caliber rifles have sufficient twist to handle a much wider array of bullets due to diameter of the caliber. By nature, when going heavier or longer, it does not affect the length of bullet as much as it does w/ say a 224 cal. bullet. A 224 gets longer quicker due to the narrow diameter, whereas a 5-10 gr. increment on a 284 will have a lot less growth in the bullet's overall lenght. A 1 in 9 should shoot the lightest on through a 165 to 170 with great accuracy, unlike a 224, which has a much narrower margin of effective accuracy over given weights. As Mr.A said, let your game decide the weight. I personally like 139 BTSP's for my rem 7mm mag. For Elk, I prefer the 160 Sierra BTSP. Seems to do the trick...
