Virginia - Staunton "Shoot n Greet" #1007
On Deck and all hands for the next Staunton "Shoot n' Greet" (#1007)
Sunday - July 25, 2010 11:30am-3:30pm For details see the web page I plan to resurrect the "Zombie Challenge" and possibly hold a little "quick n' dirty" target match just for giggles. Also, I got an email back from the Forestry Service regarding some of our questions about Hite Hollow. I posted the text on the SSNG webpage (see link above). Hope to see y'all there!

Post event followup
Well it was FUN but it was HOT!!!
In total we had about 15 people attending with a few more "wandering through" at various points. If there was anyone I didn't personally greet I apologize, I was a little busy trying to keep fresh targets up for the challenges and keep an eye on everything and do a little shooting myself. Photos, and a couple of very short videos are now up on the SSNG web page under the SSNG Photos-2010 link. Some one of these days I'll actually snap a few more photos but I get to talkin' and shootin' and I just forget to pull out the camera! A special congrats to Motorhead, the winner of the "Weak Hand Challenge". He got a 2gb thumbdrive loaded with all of the printable targets I've collected over the years (probably 85-90 targets all told). We did better "splattering the brains" on the Zombie Challenge this time around but I think if the Zombie Apocalypse does ever come we'd still better make sure we have a high ground to retreat to <grin>.

Dang! Sounds like a great time guys. Terri and I sure wish we could have been there with ya. We haven't pulled a trigger since moving home and we have sold off almost ALL of our guns to pay bills.

We do miss ya Speedy! You were the topic of conversation a few times when folks were wondering where you were at and how you were doing.
Sucks about selling the guns off, I've had to do that in the past myself

I still have the Franken-.22 rifle... It's just too homely to sell!
