MakQuestion
Those of youse who use the Makarov as a carry weapon. What is the best holster you have found for concealed carry for the little beast? I'm going to have to be much more familiar/proficient with it before I consider carrying one, but the PA-63s which are my carry of choice now, I just slip into the "security pocket" of the vests and jackets I wear. The Mak is a lot more "robust" than the FEG, and with my new love affair with the Mak I know I'm going to eventually want to haul it along instead of the Hungarians. The Mak seems a little too heavy to carry the way I have the PA63s, and the only holsters I'm familiar with are the old Gubberment issue .45 flap jobbies--so any and all advice would be welcome.

Well Tom you are in luck...Strangely enough Maks seem to fit almost perfectly in almost any belt slide 1911 holster....Especially the short ones designed to accept different barrel lengths...EX..Dillon CLS....Mine fits perfectly in my Kramer IWB # 3 also....Also there are some good holster makers turning out holsters specifically for Maks in both leather and Kydex...I sure other posters can tell you who they are....

http://www.Makarov.com has it all.
But there is NOTHING wrong with the PA63 either if it is 100% reliable, as the Makarov is. |

I have a Don Hume IWB holster designed for a Kahr P9/P40. Fits the Mak like a glove.

Milt Sparks makes the Versa Max II for the Mak. I use mine quite often and find that it works great.

I either carry my East German Mak in a belt slide holster or just stuck down in the back of my pant on the right side.
