I see all kinds of 30.06, 30-30, 243, 22-250, .270 and .308 around and at regular prices. These hunting cartridges don't seem to attract the hoarders for some reason.

I haven't been able to find .308, except for perhaps some INCREDIBLY expensive Hornady hunting stuff. A few weeks ago I found a 50 round box of Federal at a good price, but that's been it. Had to show up at opening to get it.

Found 3 boxes of Remington .308 at WalMart two weeks ago, that's been it for the entire County.

I haven't seen 308 since the Sandy Hook tragedy. Lucky I got a few boxes of wolf for $9 a box before the madness.

Only thing in the Wal Mart I was in yesterday was. 308, 30.06, 12 ga.
Don't even know why I wasted my time going all the way over to that side of the store.

Like some of you have mentioned, after Sandy Hook .308 has disappeared from the shelves where I'm at. Right now I only have about 100 rounds of that American Eagle stuff that I bought in bulk before the craziness.

Makes it hard to feed my M1A...

I bought a Ruger American in .308 back in January just because I wanted the military caliber. They had a .30-06, should have gotten that instead...

Worthgar- I could have written your exact post. In fact I think I did on another thread. I finally have gotten up to 6 boxes do Federal Fusion by stopping at Walmarts and Dicks stores regularly. It is a slow process to fuel a new cartridge today.

Like you, I saw a lot more 30-06 than .308 after my purchase.
