Gander Mountain Ammo Sale!

Just went to the mailbox and got the junk mail and not a single bill to pay.

However, GM sent me a sale paper. Let's look at the ammo prices and have a gabfest:

Winchester AA: $7.95
Fiocchi Golden Pheasant loads: Starting at $17.99
Gander Mountain's Upland Game & Field Loads: $12.99
Federal Heavy Upland Loads 1 1/4 oz: $9.99
Winchester Xpert Steel 3", 1 1/8 oz: $11.99

What say you? Are these decent sale prices?

They seem a little high to me especially since we are running up to dove season when you might expect to see a bit more chain store-to-chain store competition.

Is there a Dick's or Bass Pro near? Might be worth a visit or call.

Don't look like sale prices to me.

Gander has such a markup that their sale prices are still way more than anybody else. AAs are $7.57 everyday at Wally World. Dick's can beat that I'm sure.

I can't wait for dove season and the discounts on 12 Ga ammo. Right now Wal Mart has 4 boxes of Federal 8 shot for $21. Seems like just last year these were $13.88.

When I started shooting 100 rounds of 9mm target ammo was 9.98. That was 3 years ago. Today it is 19.98 per box al walmart. And to think I bought a 9mm because shooting .45acp would be too expensive... Damn did I get punked... Just finished upgrading my Rem870 so i'll be buying ammo soon. Thanks for the update.
