The best, for the money, is the Lee (a bit less than)Perfect powder measurer.
Damn thing looks like a cheap toy, but it offers performance way out of line with cost. If you can understand the directions to calculate the powder settings, tho, you probably have other problems you won't discuss... Or you're from another planet. Tom

2 cents
I used the Lee and it will not throw some powder charges well but, it a good deal for the cash runs about 35. I used the Hornaday and it throws all powder well with a real life time backing. I would go to Midway and get a catalog shop it had and check the web. Here is the Midway site http://www.midwayusa.com/midwayusa/a...page=index.htm
TNT is another good one http://www14.inetba.com/tandtreloadi...trelrg6riBhqJ2 I have a few friends with a Dillion and it has a few powders it is funny about measuring like Clays |

I've owned an RCBS Uni-flo for 25/30 years and put a ton of powder through it. Works as good as the day I bought it and if it didn't, RCBS would make it right. Is it the "best"? I donno.

If the Lee Perfect Powder Measure was really as easy to set as it is supposed to be (I too cannot make heads or tails of the instructions), it would be "perfect" for sure. It throws charges well, but I still have to set it by trial and error.

I really like my Dillon powder measure. It even came with a press.

The best powder measure made today is the Redding. Period! The Lyman, RCBS, Pacific, Hornady are all excellent, no doubt.
But none are equal to the quality of the Redding. It costs a bit more, but the very best always costs more. You get what you pay for.

The best powder measure I've ever used was a "Pacific Delux".
Accurately throws charges of various kind's of powder. Best Wishes, Ala Dan, N.R.A. Life Member |
