When you say they will not "seat good", do you mean that they won't lock into place in the magazine well?

Do the mags that came with the gun work ok?

MAC lists 3 types of mags that will work in their 9mm 1911 Double stack pistols. Which of the three types did you buy?

In the information for this pistol it says "MAC 1911 Double Stack Series Pistols are compatible with Tisas® DS, Military Armament Corp.™ and other STI 2011™ Magazines."

I would contact MAC as the Springfield mags are supposed to be compatible "1911 DS magazines are cross compatible with Staccato 2011® platforms."

I am assuming the factory mags work ok?

Ask if they have had any issue with these magazines specifically.

Springfield Prodigy magazines should work. Sometimes the baseplates can be different enough to cause issues of not seating deep enough. Maybe try your MAC baseplates on the Prodigy magazines.
