Hornady Interlock Spire point

Never done much with these bullets before. But I just picked up 2 boxes of the 129 grain 6.5 mm fot $5 a box!

I am probably gonna load them with some H4350, RL 17 or IMR 4451. I figure I should be able to get them between 2850 and 2900. Even at full price these are cheaper than the Sierra bullets I have been buying.

Nice snag.
They're good bullets.
Don't be surprised if they shoot well.

They are not bad. I shoot a lot of Hornady. Mostly the SST.

Quit getting hung up with velocity. The rifle will tell you what it likes.

Some older 6.5mm bullets had a shorter full diameter shank as an compromise to the 264 mag design. Those have a "stepped" look to their profile. If/how this design works with something like a 6.5CM may be problematic.

Solid bullet that works well and expands reliably down to 1800 FPS. Flat bottom bullet so it will be a laser beam 300 yards and under which is easily where most hunters live in terms of taking a shot. I never bothered to take them out past 300 so cant comment if the accuracy is still solid but in my experience the flat bottoms are not as good longer distances due to design...boat tails rule at distance.

I couldn't get these to group under an inch and a half in my or my brothers 308. Not saying they won't in yours, they made good hunting loads just not super accurate.

I just started shooting the same bullets in 130 gr for my .270. I have gotten under 1 inch groups with two different powders. However, my bullets were not $5 a box! Where the heck do you shop?!?!

I stopped at a local Gun shop and they had a whole counter full of stuff they took in from an estate or something. I asked the guy how much for the bullets on the counter and he told me $5 a box. I bought all of the 6.5 mm bullets.

They had over a thousand 25 caliber hot cor bullets. Too bad I don't have
a 25-06

I have a 6.506 test load to shoot with those bullets, and have already tested them in my Creedmoor, not bad consistency yet but I have not shot them over Chrono yet. Wouldn't hesitate to hunt deer with the bullet in my Creedmoor.
