223 FMJ Bullets to be band

The Community organiser is banning all sales of FMJ 223 Cal. Bullets . He has ordered the ATF to put this on a fast track .

Can you supply us with a link?

And are you sure it's ALL 223 FMJ bullets, or just the M855 that are under discussion here?

The proposed ban is on M855, specifically, because it has a steel penetrator inside and can be chambered in the increasingly popular AR pistols. For a specific round of FMJ to receive the same treatment, under the legal definition of AP it would have to have a jacket that is more than 25% of the bullet's total weight.

I'm going to close this thread as duplicating the one Spats linked to, above. Please post additional information in that thread if you've got some, but I'm betting on just sloppy reporting.
