Would anyone have a source for Assembly/Disassembly instructions, as well as recommended cleaning procedures for this semiauto rifle.
Also, Is there a difinitive procedure on what is the best way to handle corrosive ammo like the Surplus French 7.5.

I've heard recommendations to use Windex-(Ammonia,ditergent,alcohol).
I do use it on my muzzleloaders to prevent corrosion, and clean up black powder residue. So I was already thinking about that.

Thanks for any help you can give,
WOLF

Not sure about the Windex - new one on me. I do know that the approved "solution" (pardon the pun) is hot water. Dissolves the offending crystals.

Harley's out of pocket - I'm sure he can give you better guidence when he gets back.

WOLF, try visiting http://www.netaphore.com/guns/french_4956_home_us.html for information on the MAS 49/56. Hope this helps!
