I've got a D-cell mag-lite, and the lousy button fell off. I can't find it, and I hate not feeling that little rubber lump there. There have been no problems with it, and the switch can certainly operate without it, but I can't help but think that it was put there for a purpose, and I hate to see a job going undone. Can I buy/make a new one? I lost my little warranty card about twelve seconds after I got the thing.

If it doesn't need to pass close visual inspection, try wrapping black electrical tape around the flashlight a few times, covering the button.
