8mm Mauser recoil pad

Ok everyone, here is the stupid question of the day.

I have a 8mm Czech Mauser that I love to shoot. Unfortunately, I seem to have a wussy shoulder, and it doesn't like to put up with the recoil.

Has anyone found a decent recoil pad for this rifle? I would prefer something that replaces the steel butt plate on the rifle rather than a slip on model. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I made one out of a flip flop pad for my 98. After a rough cut I mounted it using two washers installed in razor cuts inside the flip flop pad and the screws used for the metal butt plate. I taped the wood with masking tape and sanded the flip flop pad for finish. It's not the neatest job ever, but it's not jarring to the eye.

Limbsaver has a good slip on pad.

The medium Galco pad fits the 8mm Mausers perfectly. I don't leave home without it.

It also fits Enfields and Swiss K-31's.
