S & W 686-4
First, to all that served..HAPPY VETERANS DAY!!
Did s&w make a 686-4 with a 6'' barrel?? I want one , but have yet to see one. If you have one please post a picture. THANKS. Semper Fi Master Gunnery Sergeant USMC RET. |

Yes, the S&W 686 comes in a 6" barrel. But you don't have to purchase a whole new gun. Just order the 6" barrel and take it and your 686 4" to a gunsmith and he will change the barrels.

There were plenty of 6" 686-4s made. I have one myself.

I had one too, gave it to my youngest son for his 18th birthday. Internet has made the -4 models one of the most sought after 686s, thus many of them are selling for more than new models. BTW, I have newer and older Smiths and have no preference. Is there reasoning behind your choice other than the internet?
