1851 Navy barrels
I have a .36 Pietta 1851 Navy with steel frame. It came with a 7.5" barrel, which I like, but I'd also like a shorter barrel, a much shorter one. I figured I'd keep an eye out for a used barrel that might have some pitting or other damage/imperfection at the end of the barrel and chop it down, but it seems few people are selling used Pietta '51 barrels.
What I see is available is ASM/CVA and EIG barrels. Are they interchangeable with the Pietta guns?

I'm looking for the same thing. Best bet is to get a new navy when on sale at cabelas and sell the parts you don't want to keep. VIT vunparts has new barrels for $125.

I wanted a shorter barrel for a Pietta '51. I this Pietta '62 Police barrel with loading leaver on line. The Pietta '62 Police uses the '51 -'61 frame. this made me a '61 (round barrel creeping load leaver) Sharif's Think I found it on flea-bay, and reasonable . can't seem to figure out how to re-post a picture I used earlier!
