Kimber K6 exposed hammer version..

Ok...will this EVER happen? Super nice little gun, but I like the option of DA/SA....Any rumors about this finally taking place?...

Considering they designed it as a self defense gun, and the expert they worked with has long advocated for double action only on defensive revolvers, I'm not sure how high a priority it is.

It would require designing a completely different gun.

Why would that be?.. Just cut down the rear reciever and put a thumb tag on the hammer... S&W did that in reverse...so why a different gun?

The S&W DA revolver has two separate sears, one for SA and one for DA. The DAO revolver lacks the SA sear, and likely also lacks the leg that enables the hammer to cock the trigger.
