an interesting read

http://reason.com/news/show/129991.html

The material found at the above link is excerpted from a longer work. The ruling in Heller might not have "restored" The Second Amendment, this due to an overabundance of "weasel words" or "lawyer's talk" therein, however it did give a boost to The Second and in so doing, it also boosted civil rights, the right to Keep and Bear Arms being a basic civil right.

I have no idea as to how the cookie will finally crumble, some would say the Obama victory bodes ill for Gun Rights, perhaps it does, we shall see what happens, for while the president proposes, it is The Congress that disposes. It well might depend on how the people react to such proposals as might be offered. The defense of liberty is a full time job.The nominatiion of Eric Holder as U.S. AG doesn't encourage this viewer.

In any case, it strikes me that the piece found at the link above could prove worth while reading respecting such insights as it might provide. Let readers judge for themselves.
