why do I need 25 "meaningful" posts?

I dodnt get it, why do I need 25 meaningful posts, to be able to post a gun for sale?
Just because I dont post much, I would rather read, research and look for my answer on the forum. Ive been a member for a few years now, but now Im wanting to sell or trade mu glock, I have to start posting to bump up my count to 25 posts???
I dont get it.

The Gun Show forums are intended only to be a side benefit for active and participating members. They do not necessarily reflect the main mission of TFL - to be a community dedicated to the discussion and advancement of responsible firearms ownership.

A big benefit to everyone on the board is most spammers aren't willing to read then respond / make 25 posts. Most here don't want to see ads for male enhancement, car financing and business loans when discussing why Sig's are the best handgun made
