reloading q's?

my ruger 77 vt 22-250 only shoots well with flat base bullets 52 grains and up... my best shooting recipie is 32 gr. of 3031 with a 55 gr hornady spire point and federal 210 primer.... is the barrel twist making it hard to shoot light bullets?

No. Your rifle is acting like every other rifle in the world, i.e. it has definite preferences for certain bullet/powder combinations. Shoot what it likes.

Although IMR 3031 is very accurate in my 22-250, I get acceptable accuracy with better velocity with WW760, good accuracy and better velocity with H380 and IMR 4320 (all with 55 gr bullets), and I have spoken with shooters who like Varget in their 22-250s.

I wouldn't complain at all. Good shooting!
