Dry lubed Speer lead bullets?

Just bought some of these for the first time. They're 158 gr. LSWC (part no. 4623) and have no visible lube yet the box states " Hard Multi-Layered Lube" and "Clean and Dry to the Touch".

Just getting into loading lead bullets in pistol calibers and haven't run into this yet. Are these good to go for loading with no additional lube?

I have some in 240gr. .44. I believe they are moly coated. Do they look sorta dirty and if you handle them, do they leave your fingers slightly smudged?

I've been loading the Speer 158 gr LSWC-HP which have that dry lube. Yes, it is a dry lube, and no, you don't have to add any other lube, leading hasn't been a problem even when loaded pretty hot in .38 Spl +p which is what I use them for. The lube stays on the bullet, and isn't really dirty on the fingers. No worse than handling any other sort of bullet. It is pretty good stuff, whatever it is, and I'm going to order up another case of them soon.

Check . . . That perfectly describes these.

I'm going to load these rather light as target loads anyhow with 3.9 grains of Unique behind them in .38 SPL cases. Just weirded me out to not see any lube on the bullets or a channel to put some in.

Speer dry-lubed bullets

I've used the 0.314" wadcutter in the .303 British and gotten no leading at about 900 fps, even with all that barrel to go through....

Berdan III, what load do you use for the 303

That sounds like a fun load to shoot for plinking. What powder and weight?

Just finished loading 500 .38 SPL with these. They're a joy to work with - no mess - consistent.
