The Smith and Wesson Academy is in Springfield.
Also, over the border from you, in NH is Lethal Force Institute. LFI is Massad Ayoob's school. He will be having a class in CT in Oct. I may attend. I was scheduled for LFI1 in April in Phoenix, but had to cancel. Of all the schools, my short list is very short, LFI1 first, then any of the others. I get this advice from past attendees that have gone on to other "big name" schools. Biker |

+1 for Smith and Wesson Acadamy. Everything I know about LFI I've read on the Internet, but what I've heard has been generally positive.

In the Gravest Extreme is one of the the best books on firearms for defense in my opinion.
one of the best training schools is also run by the above author.. http://ayoob.com/ not in MA but probably worth the drive and such. I'm hoping to take LFI-I, just need to save up enough money. They aren't cheap, but you usually get what you pay for. |
