I have been hearing more and more rumors from people who know all the rumors but seldom any facts, that the Illinois CCW is slowly moving along. Can someone please explain to me the current situation?

Latest on concealed carry says it was moved to the Rules Committee on March 17th. That committee is made up of the following people:

The usual anti gun suspects are really cranking up the comments, they must be really worried this law could pass.

If I'm not mistaken the next time the bill comes up in the house it could be voted on. From what I've heard at the illinoiscarry.com forums and from Todd Vandermyne, NRA lobbyist, is that it should come up for the house vote by the end of April.
