Fingers, I know you have seen people "pinching" caps.That comes from using the wrong cap for the nipple in question. ie: #11s on stock Uberti/Pietta nipples.

Yes I have; but I've never seen an unfired cap fall off a nipple, there just isn't enough room between the nipple and recoil shield for that to happen. Loose caps when fired will fall off every time. Even tight caps fall off when fired.
But, like I said, I guess I've just led a sheltered life - and have only used RWS 1075 and Remington #10 caps
