May I suggest a small space heater for the garage.

Something small and cheap that you can run while working, they're very handy to have on hand.

That looks very comfy, but I think I'd prefer electric heating (and I have no juice in the garage since some low-life helped themselves to the mains wires) as I'd be worried about CO or CO2 accumulation in an enclosed space...

Heating of some kind would be great.

Tea in a thermos flask for now, then!!

Reloading bench

I bought a rolling microwave cart/kitchen island from walmart for like $80. It has a thick top for cutting meat etc and is quite solid. It then has a drawer and 2 doors that open to 2 shelves inside. I have my presses mounted to the top of the cart and keep all of my bullets, primers etc inside the cart. I can roll the cart to any room I want and toss a sheet over the press if you want to conceal it.

Looks like it is $100 now. Bought mine 8 years ago. I left the hangover off of mine.

We use those sunflower heaters in the fish houses in MN all the time and they don't burn up the oxygen as fast as you think. I have a 4x8 fish house and can put 2 people in there all day with one of those on full blast and we've never had an air issue in 15 years.

It's not the lack of oxygen I am worried about, it is the accumulation of either CO2 which could lead to hypercapnia or CO2 poisoning, of CO which would lead to CO poisoning.

You can have a good supply of oxygen, but if the CO2 doesn't have somewhere to go, like in a garage sealed to keep the heat in, it could have harmful consequences.

Safer just to to some loading stages indoors and the seating/crimping in the garage.

While 44 Magnum cases are pretty dear, I imagine that 9mm, 7.62mm and other popular calibers are plentiful. A tubing cutter can cut the cases down to approximate size to drop the charge weight you want, then trimming with a case trimmer or merely a chamfer tool can fine-tune cases to the precise charge weight you want. Then label the cases with the powder and weight they throw, or, better yet, make a chart to relate the cases to powder/charge, just like the Lee chart.

Stiff plastic wire-ties make dandy handles and eliminate the need for soldering wires onto the cases.

Keep in mind that each powder will vary in density and even each powder lot of the same type will vary somewhat so periodic re-calibration might be in order.

Still, it is better than trickling each charge up to weight in sub-zero temperatures.

p.s. I still recommend setting up your current press with a portable mount as wuluf suggested and working in the house where it's warm. Just always use a dropcloth to keep your floor free of spills of powder or primer dust.

I think I will make my own dippers, but not yet.

I'd like to first finalise my ideal loads. Right now I have been trying different bullets and suppliers. I am therefore in the process of working ideal charges to get either decent punch if a woods load or accuracy and comfort for a range load. Once I have those, then I can start playing with dippers to save time.

Otherwise, I may make a whole bunch of dippers and find I never use them!!!

Now this is me and just simply how I am, I would load in the house no matter what, My wife is very use to me taking up a whole room for my loading, hunting, and fishing. Another large bonus to me is if inlaws come they have to get a motel cause we don't have the extra room. This is a fact of life around our house

Well, yesterday I took my charged cases, sandwiched between my fibreboard loading tray and a cut piece of wood and cushioned with a kitchen wiper cloth.

I went to the garage, seated and crimped the cartridges and shot them today.

Seems I have a satisfactory system for doing loading at home!!
