Para 1911

Thinking about adding this to my collection tomorrow. Para Expert Commander, $599+tax OTD. Anyone have any experience with Para Ordinance?

I have a Para P12 same size as Officer's model upper. It is a pleasure to shoot and I can shoot it as well as my 1911A1 Clone with a longer barrel.
It has stove piped on me a few times. Mostly when the magazine was fully loaded. Back off one round and flawless operation.

I've owned several Para pistols over the years, ranging through the spectrum from P10.45 to P12.45 to P13.45 to P14.45. I shoot a P14.45 in competition (when I stir my stumps to compete), and I keep a P13.45 as my back-up competition pistol. All excellent pistols.

One of my daily carry rotation pistols is a Para Slim Hawg (sub-compact single stack), and I have done some shooting with a GI Expert (the 5" brother of the pistol you're asking about). If they had offered the GI Expert in a Commander size a couple of years ago, when I was shopping for a new gun, I would have bought it in a heartbeat.

A buddy of mine got a Para Black Ops 1911 a couple months ago. I put a few rounds through it & it was one of the smoothest 1911s I've fired in a while, it has me strongly considering buying one. The only thing stopping me other than the price is getting my that gun back out to the range to make I really want to make that investment.

Looks cool! I've thought about trying one myself. I like the rear serrations and no front ones

I have the Para G.I. Expert. Its been reliable so far, I dont have but a couple hundred rounds downrange so far. I will say its very accurate and has a very good trigger. I paid $499+tax for mine last Oct. Good price on a good gun.

I was shooting with my brother one day and my para was just as accurate if not more than his ruger. It also shot without issue using his ruger mags although they didnt fit as good.

Dont have that one but did bring home Friday the GI Expert in stainless steel. Went through a box of winchester 230gr fmj today. No issues so far. It's my first gun other than a 22lr.

I've got thousands of trouble free rounds through my Para single stack and was my EDC for a long time and still finds it's way with me when I walk out the door. I'll be looking for a few more Para's as "Safe Mates" to my full size single stack sooner than later.
