anyone shoot the 6.5 wssm?

Have a friend who just purchased this caliber and is looking for a little guidance on a good place to start for handloads. It is a 1 in 8 twist.

I don't load or shoot that particular WSSM, but when the 6mm (.243) was new it was hard to find load data on it as well. What I did was call or write to my fav bullet and powder makers and request info. Some, like Nosler, Sierra, and alliant were very helpful.

http://www.hodgdon.com/data/rifle/243winssmag.php This is for .243WSSM. Not sure if I'm getting these posts, but is 6.5WSSM the same thing? Never heard of that cartridge.

The 6.5wssm is simply the .243wssm necked up to accept the 6.5 bullet. any more info or input is greatly appreciated. The night howler said he would be more than happy to buy someone a steak dinner for additional info!

It would save me money rather thasn driving to colorado to give 6.5 284tony my gun to find the right load. but it would probably ber worth the trip.
