Looking for a rifle pack?

Not sure if that is what it is called but i have seen backpacks that can carry a rifle before but haven't really got any info on these. Does anybody own anything like this? Manufacturer? I love my old Marine Corps day pack but I would love to get one of these. Any help is appreciated.

Sniper mats, cases, gear bags, etc...

For bags or rifle cases you can use in rough conditions or for ranges/field use, check these sites; www.cheaperthandirt.com www.policehq.com www.5.11tactical.com www.blackhawk.com www.uscav.com www.actiongear.com .
5.11 Tactical & Blackhawk market good cases. VooDoo Tactical makes good kit.
The Blackhawk rifle mats/cases may be what you'd want to buy.
The firm was started by a retired US Navy SEAL and is popular with many PSCs(private security contract), LE & military units.
You can buy cases or packs in desert tan, OD & black.

Semper Fi, NatchezSS.com....

No problem!

I know what a pain it can be to track down gear or items few people know about. I'd also check www.Natchezss.com .
I saw a milspec type rifle pack in that site too; black, OD, tan-brown.

Have a good holiday weekend.

Google Quiethide holsters. He makes custom scabbards that can be attached to any ordinary pack. His prices are pretty reasonable for custom made stuff.

How deep are your pockets? Mystery Ranch makes some nice gear that is very modular, but they aren't giving that stuff away by any stretch.

They have a weapons carrier you might like, and about a gazillion other types all based around a modular basic framework. Pretty interesting, looks rugged as snot (rugged snot anyway), adaptable, and like mentioned expensive as all get out.

Eberlestock

Get an Eberlestock. They make great hunting packs. Some packs are big but they make smaller packs that the boots overseas use. More like a backpack type!

Depending upon your budget and your requirements for size, think surplus.
Several places sell these as "German Special Forces Backpack." I dunno. Here's a pic:

I bought one of these for hunting and I found that there is a space between the side pocket and the main compartments. I could slide my mauser carbine into that when I was riding my mountain bike into/out of the woods.
