I need a little help, I have a beautiful custom VZ 24 rifle. I would like to get an honest opinion on what is value could be. I have been to gun shows to get a idea on the value, this has run the gambit of $200 to $700 dollars depending what they said the buyer is? I would liketo have avalid worth for insurance or selling purposes. the rifle has the mouser 98 action rebarreled to .225 winchester awesome blueing and Beautiful wood pistol grip stock. stamping indicate that it was manufactured 1929, has the lion stamp,"BRNO" made in ceskoslovakia, Ceskoslovensk'a ZBROJOVA =BRNO= thanks so much.

No one is going to be able to appraise your rifle just from a written description.
Post some good pictures and you'll get some hits. Even then it won't be as good as someone being able to see it first hand. |

.225 Winchester might tend to bring the value down a little. It's a bit of an odd calibre, left over from the 70s, it being an attempt to duplicate .220 Swift performance.
As far as I know, Winchester is the only one that ever loaded it. Don't know if they still do or not. |
