I'm considering buying a Remington 870, serial number:
A423626M Can you tell me when it was manufactured? |

Try Remington customer service. They have an 800 telephone number posted on their website. They may be able to tell you the year of manufacture over the telephone.

There's a code on the left side of the barrel that will give the month and year of manufacture. I posted part of the chart from the Blue Book earlier...
http://www.thefiringline.com/forums/...threadid=57924 Post the code if that doesn't cover it. I'll check back. John |

If I found the right code (left side of the barrel, near the action) its KM.
If I understand your "codebook" correctly, the month in May and the year is either '66 or '92. Don't know 870's enough to be sure, but its either a very well cared for '66, or an average '92. Probably an average '92. Good enough. |
