It's not too evil, but it is all black!
Maybe we could call it a sinister black rifle.

Non gun people think they are "scary" and evil and serve no purpose in society... I feel bad for these people.

Much like a few years ago, every time that a handgun was used in a crime the news media would report a "Glock" was used.

Example of EBR=scary
My girlfriend wondered the age old question. "Why?" As in, why do I need my EBR, why would I want something so powerful? I showed her my Colt AR. I showed her my Marlin .35 Remington. I asked her which one she thought was more powerful. Of course, she said the AR. Then I showed her the cartridges. She said "well the black one shoots faster." Then I showed her my Browning BAR in .270 Win and showed her the cartridge.
She's not an anti-gunner, she owns a Sig. Most people react to appearances. They see something that "LOOKS bad" and figures it is bad.

It called being ignorant, my girlfriends sister is a little on the liberal side she saw my AR and her first comment was "what do you need a gun like that for" My response was "the same reason you had to have a Apple Mac Book Pro when a $400.00 Acer when have done the same thing you use a computer for SURF INTERNET AND CHECK EMAIL" she paused for second and just walked away......lol

Here's a link for the Pearce PG-AR15 1911 style grip. They except any 1911 panel.
Pearce started out in Washington state and moved to a more biz friendly state, Texas. Nice product and a natural if you are a 1911 shooter. |

From what I can gather, EBR = Enhanced Battle Rifle, but in this case it stands
for Evil Black Rifle... it is used to describe AR type rifles more often than not. The scarier looking the better .

Definition of "you could hear a pin drop."
This is the second best thing I ever said in a college class.
Sociology class in my Junior College days, we enter into a discussion about firearms, assault rifles, etc. Someone says "you don't NEED an assault rifle to hunt deer." I replied, "I don't have my assault rifle to hunt deer, I have it to hunt oppressive Federal agents if they ever get out of line." Silence. For a while. A long while. I added, "you know, like the guys who founded this nation." More silence, for a while. Discussion over.

Since this is a picture thread, here are my EBRs.
Thanks, Skadoosh. Of course, my example to my girlfriend would have been null and void if I had held up the .308 cartridge.
This is "Sting" which is not entirely an EBR (skin color doesn't matter to me.) IMG_20120421_103245.jpg And this is "Grond" IMG_20120421_103441.jpg

I like Miami JBT.
Apparently, he has so many guns, he can't afford a bedframe.

From the top: 1945 Garand M1 (while not black, CLEARLY it's the most dangerous assault rifle I own, because it was actually used by the Army! ) Savage Mk II Tactical in .22LR, which is obviously a sniper rifle because, well, come on, look at that scope! CMMG/BCM AR15, with (at the time) Ace SOCOM Stock and EOTech sight and Troy VTAC handguard. CMMG/Alexander Arms AR in .50 Beowulf, also with Ace Stock and Troy VTAC handguard. Springfield XD in 9mm that I'm not too good with just yet.
