Good source for S&W 500 cast bullets?
Can anyone recommend a good source for S&W 500 cast bullets? Cost is an issue. I intend to use them for practice. I'll carry factory ammo for when I bring my gun into the back country.
I also posted this same question on the High Road Thanks in advance. |

Running with the big bores, I would choose:http://www.pennbullets.com/50/50-caliber.html
There a little more on the high side but the quality is superb. |

NP
Also if you really want to punch holes through anything you'll see out in the woods, try these HEAVY HITTERS:: http://www.castperformance.com/Categ...t=41&total=105 |

Wyocarp,
I've only own the gun for a couple of months. I've shot 425 grain bullets through it that I handloaded. About 150 rounds. I was using 20 gr of blue dot. It's relatively easy to shot recoilwise with that load. I have other recipes for that grain bullet, but I've yet to load it any hotter. Thanks for your's and everyone's help. |
