Choke for 00 buckshot

Hi! Would you, please, tell me which choke is supposed to give the best pattern in M4 Benelli shooting 00 buckshot.
Thanks

It depends on the individual gun and the brand of shells.

Most manufacturers are now setting up buckshot and slug guns with the Improved Cylinder choke.

However, individual guns may work better with even tighter chokes.

The only way to find out for sure, is to shoot a variety of different brands to find the combination of shell and choke that work best in your gun.

Probably, the best starting point is the Improved Cylinder.

Chokes for 00 buckshot

Thank you, Dfariswheel! Benelli M4 comes with C, IC, and M chokes. I will try when I get my M4. I already gave deposit and have been promissed at the end of this year. As of today no dealers in Los Angeles have them in stock.

Chokes for buckshots

First of all excuse me for my spelling I'm Mexican and I live in Mexico City.

I agree with Dfariswheel is good to start with a improved cilinder at short distance, but just for patterning purpose only. However, in my opinion regardless the shell, you should take in to consideration the game and the distance you are going to shoot at, since the 00 buckshot reaches longer distance than other shots such as 7 1/2.

Regards

You will have to pattern you gun to see what works best for you, your gun adn your load. If you plan to use slugs, you are going to want to check and see how those do through the choke you are considering.
