HEY GUYS:GUNNUTS HERE, I have a chance to buy a COLT CCO NIB,I've been told by 3 different gunsmiths that COLTS made from around 1990 or so to 1999 were slapped together,fit and finish are poor?is the COLT XS made in 2000 I think? any better? did the XS come in commander size?THANKS ALOT

Colt, like other makers, has had their QC ups and downs, but the problems were mostly in fitting, not in material or basic manufacturing. I would evaluate the individual gun I was thinking of buying, not when it was made.
