Looking for a 10/22

I can't find a 10/22 anywhere.

Well, I did find that boyscout edition one, but that was $378.

I'm looking for just a basic blue/wood or blue/synthetic model.

Found a few on gunbroker.com

Any of the big distributors with these in stock?

walmart usually has the basic carbines in stock and they can special order you them if they don't. I too have been noticing an abundance of special editions and not a lot of baseline 10/22s but then again a lot of the local shops like to take a few in to get camo dipped so that they have a bit more variety in their inventory but it drives the cost up all the same.

I've checked about 5 local shops and no dice.

At the gun show this weekend, saw maybe 10 of them. 2 used and about 8 expensive target versions.

Can't you just go to your LGS and order one . It's not like it would be a special order they are going to buy more of they to sell .

Or do you need one soon and don't want to wait . I have had my LGS order me a few guns .The only draw back is you have to pay in full and no refunds

22 rifles are a fairly common Christmas present. They sell pretty well at this time of year and I'd not be surprised if many vendors are not low or out of stock. If you can wait about a month I'd bet there are a lot more available and you'll have a better selection to find the one you want.

Try budsgunshop, aimsurplus, etc. Check the online dealers. Right now is kind of a crappy time to find one, as they are very popular Christmas gifts, and lots of places are out of stock. Do you need it by Christmas?

Seek and ye shall find !!

Just last week, I saw an add where they were/are listed for $199.00. This is the basic birch wood carbine, which is the least expensive of the various models. ....

Be Safe !!!

I found one Saturday for $185 used, wood stock. I wanted to put a few rounds through it just to make sure it ran, but the wait for the range was over an hour, so I put 50 down to hold it and went back today to try it out.

Worked great so I bought it, but background checks are running right about 24 hours, so I have to go back tomorrow to pick it up. PITA, but the weather sucks so I couldn't have shot it anyway.

Also bought a 25 round mag for it, and I need to find a good inexpensive scope. Any suggestions?

It's Christmas

Shooters:
I have a friend who has also been looking for a 10/22. All the local places that usually have them are sold out. It's a prime Christmas present.
Live well, be safe
