I haven't shot my lcp too much. About 500 Rounds. I have had under 5 malfunctions with mine. The only time I had problems with it was when I took it to the range after a few months of not shooting it. I found that my problems were resolved with a little bit of oil on the slide.
My self-defense load is the critical defense round. I have only shot about 50 rounds of it but had no problems with any of them. The only other load I have shot through it has been Winchester White Box. |

Nearly 2000 rounds, @ 6 malfs, mostly early on. Comes with one mag.
I find I choose ammo more on availability and cost rather than function. The LCP is NOT finicky. Do avoid the Herter's brand from Cabelas. Got a squib load of that, lucky it was close to the chamber so the LCP didn't go into battery.... I have also had malfunctions in several different types of pistols with Cor-Bon, and also HPR, which is a new Arizona-based brand. |

1400 rounds through mine. Only problems were not going fully into battery during first few rounds. Cleared up with use. Super reliable pistol.

500 rounds.
One stovepipe and one FTE within the first 200. 'pipe was with WWB, FTE was with Lawman. I also shot some Speer Gold Dot carry ammo to make sure it works, it does and seems a bit hotter than the usual target ammo. I've examined the ejected brass and there are no markings of a bad extractor or firing pin issues. Only other problem is that the plastic pins start to walk out of the frame and need to be punched back into place. I doubt that Ruger actually intended anyone to shoot the damn thing on a regular basis. I keep mine pretty greasy with TW-25b on the rails. |

500 rounds with zero malfunctions. Assorted ammo but most of it was Remington.
The gun comes with one magazine.
