I'm looking for a EAA BOUNTY HUNTER 44MAG 4 1/2" barrel in blue. Would this be a good gun.

Depends on what purpose you want it for. Little large for HD(caliber wise--too much penetration and possible cause harm to unintended victims), but great caliber for target or hunting with. Good caliber for a woods gun for defense when hiking in bear country too. Nice thing is, in most .44 Magnums you can also shoot .44 specials so you could get two guns for the price of one. If you reload, you can load them down so they are easier on the recoil.
I'm personally looking for(waiting for) a Ruger Redhawk in .44 mag with a 4" in barrel. As for the brand, I have no experience with them, but have not heard a lot in favor or against. |

IMO save a bit and get a Super Black Hawk. It will take full power full loads till the end of time. Just my two cents.

I didn't relise that EEA made revolvers, I know that the EAA in Bounty Hunter was a 10MM Semi Auto.
But for a 44mag Snubie, go with the Ruger Alaskan. Good heavy revolver thats an absulute dream to shoot, only problem is finding them for sale. |

That helps the OPs question. Buy it, I haven't heard any bad things about it, in fact, all I've read is all good. Good luck finding one, if you have more time and patients than money, you'll find one, or just go Ruger. Last edited by Redhawk5.5+P+; December 29, 2012 at 03:57 AM. |
